TxDOT is developing preliminary plans for the expansion of FM 756 from Jeff Davis Drive, south to FM 344. The scope includes expanding the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided highway with a continuous left-turn lane. Proposed improvements also include an overpass and ramps at the intersection of FM 346.

TxDOT hosted the first public meeting on Jan. 15, 2019. Three alternatives were presented for public comment
TxDOT hosted its second public meeting on June 25, 2019. The preferred alternative was presented to the public at this meeting. A copy of the alternative is available for viewing through the Interactive Map link below.
TxDOT plans to host a third public meeting in the form of a public hearing. the public hearing's details will be posted to this website as they become available Adjacent property owners will receive notification by mail. All interested citizens will have the opportunity to provide input, voice concerns and ask questions.
Based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, TxDOT has suspended its in-person public involvement efforts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The suspension will impact this project's development schedule. At this moment, the extent of the delay is unknown and dependent on future guidance. The project is expected to be constructed in three phases. Phase 1 extends from Jeff Davis Drive south to FM 346. Phase 2 extends from FM 346 south to FM 344 in the city of Bullard. Phase 3 involves the construction of an overpass and ramps at FM 346 and FM 756.
